PIERMONT FARMERS' MARKET opens for the season At M&T Bank's parking lot at Ash & Piermont Avenue, rain or shine. Every Sun, 11am to 3pm through Oct 30. On Sun, June 19 the Piermont Farmers' Market opened, with a lovely selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, organic produce, home made pies, fine, handmade breads, wine, eggs, pickled vegetables, chutneys, cider and some prepared foods to take home--such as quiche and fruit-and-nut-cakes. At the ribbon cutting : folksinger Tom Chapin, market manager Georgianne Burck, Eric Tommasi, of M&T Bank, who arranged the space for the market, Piermont Trustee Audie Moran, Dan Sherman, Chairman of the Piermont Parks Commission, Thom Kleiner, Orangetown Supervisor and Michael Kogen, of Piermont Wines & Spirits.
