New Owner For Koblin’s Pharmacy

Koblin’s Pharmacy, a Nyack landmark, is changing ownership. Jerry Koblin is going into a well-deserved retirement. But as Jeff Rucker, the new owner said, “Nothing will change; the same staff, the same products, the same look, the same personal helpful service. The only thing that’s different is that I’ll be here to help you and not Jerry.”

For us, Koblin’s is not only for medication and vitamins, but things that make life fun. Around Halloween we get the masks and the other stuff that makes Halloween scary.
At Christmas time we get an assortment of small games, toys and stuffed animals, to share with the kids or grand kids of folks who work with us. On summer days we walk around the corner and get some of those Good Humor ice cream sandwiches.

On Valentine’s Day we found not only cards and gift-boxed chocolates, but new-to-us Valentine-theme coffee mugs. Koblin’s can be a lifesaver when it rains and we don’t have our umbrella—or when we’re out of milk.

The most important thing is that Koblin’s is a real pharmacy; all the people who work there are helpful; and know us and everyone they deal with.

We wish Jeff and the rest of the folks all the best. We’re looking forward to another hundred or so years of great service.
