Friday night October 18, 2013, under a full moon, the Nyack High School students celebrated their homecoming at MacCalman Field. Before the annual football game the Nyack High School marching band, under the direction of Mike Smith, led a parade of athletes, cheer leaders, Indianettes, and students up 5th avenue and into the stadium. As this is the last home game for the seniors on the football team they, along with their parents, were honored on the field with the announcement of their name and the parent receiving a rose.
There was a time when this football game may not have taken place because the opposing team had to forfeit. The Nyack School District Athletic Director, Joe Sigillo, made some phone calls, a team was found and the game went on. A big thank you to Lincoln High School football players and their coaches for coming to Nyack tonight.
