Historic Comic Book Republished

50 years ago the Fellowship of Reconciliation first published Martin Luther King and the Montgomery Story as a comic book, shortly after the Montgomery Bus Boycott of 1955 was concluded.

The FOR published it in English and a short while later, in Spanish. Since then, it has been translated into Arabic, Vietnamese and Farsi, and used to further the ideas of nonviolent resistance to oppression espoused by Dr. King and the FOR.

Recently. the comic book played a part in the Egyptian revolution when an Arabic translation was distributed to protesters in Tahrir Square in Cairo.

Reprinted this year, the comic book is available at very affordable prices at the Fellowship’s website, forusa.org where you can download an order form.
